James Hsui, PLLC was formed when its founder, James Hsui, decided to leave the United Nations system organization where he served as trusted adviser to its Senior Adviser to the Executive Director, in order to focus on his original passion: international business law. From these beginnings, the New York based business and international law firm is dedicated to serving the Empire State’s diplomatic, nonprofit, startup and business communities by providing legal services, advice and representation.

The firm has four principal areas of practice: startup, corporate and business law; corporate governance; not-for-profit law; and international law. Amongst these areas are a wide array of legal services that include the formation of companies and organizations; preparation and review of legal and quasi-legal documents such as contracts, charters, policies, treaties and declarations; creation of internal corporate and management structures; and negotiation and analysis of domestic, foreign and international transactions.

With the understanding that many with an entrepreneurial spirit and far-seeing vision often do not have funds or backing to follow their dreams (at least in the beginning), and recognizing that their unrelenting pursuit of goals which have the potential to benefit mankind nevertheless comes at great personal sacrifice, the firm offers a range of flat-fee professional legal services to help with budgeting and get the venture off the ground.
